Opportunities for Students
The IRIS Center provides opportunities for students to apply what
they’re learning and gain work experience. IRIS is unique in
that it offers substantive assignments, as well as administrative
task
Potential internships and work assignments for students
include, but are not limited to:

Research & Analysis — Conducting
research and assisting with the development of policy and analytic
papers, studies, and expert presentations and events. Topics include: the Muslim world,
HIV/AIDS, water scarcity, local governance, transformational development,
and fragile and failed states.

Event Management — Planning and coordinating
topical, marketing, and outreach events.

Administration — Finance, Accounting,
Information Technology, Office Assistants

Marketing & Development — Identifying
opportunities and new sources of funding, maintaining marketing
and proposal databases,
analyzing client and partner feedback.

Outreach — Writing feature-type articles
about IRIS successes (great for journalism students), tracking
news stories and trends, media relations.
