Senior Evaluation Specialist

Description
The IRIS Center seeks a Project Director with experience designing and leading mixed-method research projects in developing countries to lead a multi-million dollar IQC for major donor.

Location
College Park, MD

Main Job Functions

  • Carry out research that contributes to the strategy and needs of donors, grantees and clients.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate implementation of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Provide program-wide assessment of progress and results.
  • Prepare reports
  • Guide and conduct quantitative data analysis, including experimental and quasi-experimental evaluation designs
  • Work with grantees, local partners and survey firms (foreign and domestic travel).
  • Coordinate with colleagues and the Program Manager on timeline and resources.
  • Communicate effectively regarding all aspects of the work with donors, professionals, and colleagues
  • Participate as a senior staff person in IRIS operations
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Manage project staff

Required Skills

  • Experience with international development research and technical assistance projects.

  • At least 10 years experience in managing projects and personnel, with excellent communication and people skills.

  • PhD in economics or related field with strong quantitative research skills.

  • US work eligibility required.

Language Requirements
Spanish language skills preferred.
