Developing an Administrative Law Guide for USAID Democracy & Governance Officers

IRIS prepared a guidebook to demonstrate how administrative law and procedural reforms can be integrated into a wide range of USAID and other donor programming.

The ultimate aim of the guide is to enhance transparency, predictability, accountability, and public participation in government decisionmaking as well as in the design of regulations.

The guidebook includes both hypothetical and actual case studies illustrating how greater attention to administrative law concepts and mechanisms can advance the rule of law in various sectors.

Published in Spring 2008 and available at http://pdf.usaid.gov/pdf_docs/PNADK999.pdf
