Privatization and Economic Development in Kosovo
 
This USAID-funded project provides Kosovars with an array of tools — and the associated training — for effective management of key economic and financial institutions.

IRIS is helping to put in place the institutional and legal framework for a dynamic economy in Kosovo, through
  1. Capacity-building within existing institutions


  2. Developing procedures and legislation to support economic development
In the process of privatizing Kosovo's 400+ socially-owned enterprises, IRIS has
  • Developed the privatization framework


  • Created corporate and commercial documentation


  • Implemeted the necessary implementing legislation


  • Conducted negotiations to develop and finalize sale documents
