Arthur Shaw Program Specialist |

Mr. Shaw serves as Data Analyst for various projects at the IRIS Center. He designs poverty prediction models and survey instruments as part of the USAID Poverty Assessment Tools (PAT) project. Mr. Shaw has constructed models for measuring outreach for the Financial Services Assessment project in Peru and Malawi. He has also led a quantitative research project investigating the relationship between small and medium enterprises (SMEs), growth, and poverty alleviation.
In addition to his data analysis duties, Mr. Shaw has made other noteworthy contributions to project activities. Along with Mr. Leegwater, Mr. Shaw co-authored a USAID report on the SME sector’s role in national economic growth and has contributed to quantitative research reports on SME studies in Peru and Bangladesh. Under Mr. Leegwater, he has managed day-to-day activities of the PAT project, a multi-year data project with a small technical team that works closely with USAID. He is fluent in French. |
